Since its inception, the Apex Leadership Co. has been dedicated to helping schools maximize their fundraising efforts through a dedicated program featuring leadership skills and a focus on fun and fitness. As the company’s format has proven successful time and again, the brand’s franchising efforts around the country continue to grow! The latest to join the Apex Leadership Co. family is Paige Johnson, who is bringing the Apex Leadership Co. suite of programs to North Carolina, which will serve communities in New Hanover, Columbus, Onslow, Brunswick, Georgetown, and Horry counties.
Johnson discovered the Apex Leadership Co. opportunity through her franchise coach, Wes Barefoot, as she was seeking a new career, and a chance to own her own business. As a former victim witness legal assistant for the district attorney, whose career caseload involved crimes against children, Johnson says she was looking for an opportunity to continue her passion of working with and having an impact on children, but in a more positive way. When she learned about the great experience that an Apex Leadership Co. fundraiser could provide for students as well as the community as a whole, she was immediately interested.
Calling Apex a “perfect match” for the next phase of her career, Johnson says she appreciates the leadership aspects of the programs, the excitement it brings to the children’s school day and the fact that it is all-inclusive — serving all children, regardless of their ability to raise funds.
Johnson and her husband have been residents of Wilmington, North Carolina since 2009. She is actively involved in her community, serving on the board of the local non-profit organization Young Scientist Academy, a free hands-on science program for underserved youth. Jackson and her husband have two young children, two-year-old Amelia and one-year-old Ezra, with a third on the way.
