It’s hard to believe a new school year is just around the corner! While this year’s “classrooms” may look a little different with various online learning options, Apex Leadership Co. is thrilled to roll out a brand-new character education theme and welcome students back to school in the safest way possible. With the start of the new school year also comes the launch of The MIGHTY Show!
The Apex team works hard every year to create a new theme that incorporates powerful and effective habits for students that can be taught through their fun and energetic fundraising programs. With the new school year’s theme, Apex team members will help students learn what it means to be “MIGHTY” via acronym:
M — Mindful
I — Integrity
G — Grit
H — Hero
T — Think Ahead
Y — Your Turn
Students will learn what it means to be mindful — being aware and present in the moment; to show integrity through honesty and upholding strong morals; how grit and perseverance can help shape the leaders of tomorrow; what it means to be a hero and the importance of being one in everyday life; and how to think ahead to the future and why it’s important to do so. Finally, your turn serves as a call to action for students to take charge of their own lives — to go all out and make a difference, and a positive impact, on the world.
With each year’s theme, Apex Leadership Co. combines positive character traits with fun yet impactful lessons. These leadership lessons help students build self-esteem and confidence as well as encourage them to see the importance of taking responsibility for themselves and the kind of people they want to be — now and into the future as they become the leaders of tomorrow. Each attribute is taught through fun and age-appropriate lessons that encourage kids to want to incorporate these traits into who they are and who they want to be.
Apex Leadership Co. is proud to offer a two-fold approach to fundraising. The web-based format gives students an opportunity to maximize their efforts through a nearly endless reach. But beyond that, the fundraisers’ two-week programs led by young, energetic staff are designed to inspire and motivate students to take accountability for their role in their school’s fundraiser while also encouraging them to achieve their dreams outside of the classroom. So as the new school year unfolds, “The MIGHTY Show” must go on!
